Watch out next week in Livingstone as the Put Foot Rally comes to town, pit-stopping at The Waterfront in Livingstone from 26-29 June.

The Put Foot Rally is an epic African overland adventure that sees over 50 rally crews take up the challenge of the open roads of southern Africa to experience our continent in its purest and wildest form.

Crews may choose any vehicle and follow a route of their choice as they attempt to get around southern Africa as part of the “greatest social rally on the face of the earth!”  Most importantly, the rally utilises social media platforms to raise money for the Put Foot Foundation. More than R590,000 was raised in 2012. Regulars to the Rally will be familiar with the ‘shoe drop’ – last year saw 239 pairs of new shoes donated to 239 Livingstone school children.

Crews start off in Cape Town, heading off to checkpoints in Namibia before arriving in Livingstone and then continuing up to Lake Malawi. At each checkpoint crews will indulge in the indigenous flavours of local cuisine and traditional beverages while partying the night away to the rhythm that beats the African drum.

The Livingstone Put Foot Rally pit-stop is hosted, for the fourth year in succession, by Safari Par Excellence at The Waterfront. Come and join the party – Friday 27 June - more information coming soon!
