THE TOWN OF LIVINGSTONE and the surrounding Zambezi
region, like any healthy economic and social centre requires the support
of the community and its infrastructure if the tourism sector is to survive. We
are pleased to count among our LTA members many of the buisinesses
that provide those much-needed services that make it possible for our visitors
to arrive at their destination and to generally
'get around town' and feel right at home...
- Car-Hire - Transfers:
Explore the surrounding area either in a chauffeur driven hired car
or self-drive. You can also opt to go further a field and visit several regions of Zambia.
Another possibility is to take a fully equipped safari prepared 4x4 and venture into our
National Parks with your own family or friends by driving yourself. Self-drive Africa at
your own pace. Arriving in Livingstone, by air or overland bus--make sure someone is waiting for
you to take you to your accommodation...

- Restaurant and Cafés:
About ten years ago, there would be very little to choose from in
the Livingstone restaurants apart from Nshima (Maize meal porridge) and cabbage,
chicken or stew. We still find these places, but in the meantime a nice selection of
international cuisine has found the way to Livingstone. There is of course the fast
food and pizza place, but also the quaint smaller eating places, Indian, Seafood, excellent
restaurants in the hotels and even Chinese. Pavement Cafés and coffee shops are also
popping up under the big shady trees in the center of town.
