Camp Nkwazi Livingstone

Camp Nkwazi is also called “Mopanie Lodge” and it is nestled on the banks of the mighty Zambezi River, within a 20-minute drive from Livingstone. Camp Nkwazi offers 10 Luxury Tented Chalets, 13 Campsites and five dedicated Overlander Campsites. Camp Nkwazi is not a stopover, it is a destination.

The Luxury Tented Chalets are tastefully furnished and equipped with all the necessary utensils to ensure comfort and relaxation. Each chalet can accommodate two adults and by prior arrangement, two children under the age of 12 years. The chalets offer twin beds and en-suite bathrooms with showers. Power points for hairdryers and 220V shavers are available in the rooms, and they have external power points. The kitchen enjoys a lovely view from the wooden deck and is fully equipped for self-catering. Two of the chalets are wheelchair accessible.

All of the Campsites have large barbecues with lights, 220V power point and running water. Hot water is supplied by a wood-burning boiler or donkey. Ablution and scullery facilities are also available. Each Overlander Campsite has an under-cover kitchen and scullery.

For convenience, Camp Nkwazi offers a restaurant, a bar, a bakery, a convenient store and a swimming pool for those hot days. The river extends the length of the property and there are breathtaking views over the water. Guests can savour sightings of a variety of game and rare bird life, as well as some fishing. Guests can enjoy activities such as helicopter or microlight flights, fishing, game viewing, canoeing, makoro or boat trips on the Zambezi River; elephant rides, lion encounters, day trips to Victoria Falls and swimming in the spectacular devil’s pool.
